What Exactly is Cloud Web Hosting?

In general, the genuine cloud web hosting platform serves various web hosting services such as disk storage, email, File Transfer Protocol, databases, DNS, stats, website hosting Control Panel, backup, etc., on individual packs of top-quality web servers. Each different service set creates a cluster. All the web servers in a cluster are dedicated to serving exclusively the given service and nothing aside from it. They will all operate as one single web server, sharing out the service's load in practically equal proportions. If there is a real cloud web hosting service, there must be: a disk space cluster, an email cluster, an FTP cluster, database clusters (MySQL/PostgreSQL), a DNS cluster, a stats cluster, a Control Panel cluster, a backup cluster, etc. All these separate service clusters will create the so-called cloud hosting platform.

The big cloud website hosting trick. Quite widespread at present.

There is so much confusion circulating around about cloud web hosting nowadays. As you can perceive, cloud web hosting does not only appear complicated, but in fact it is excessively perplexing. Most of the people are not at all aware of what cloud web hosting is. Based on this widespread ignorance, the "cloud web hosting firms" speculate eagerly, just to get hold of the customer and his/her 5 dollars a month. What a shame! An immense shame. This is owing to the fact that in the website hosting industry there are no decrees at all. The domain industry has ICANN. The web hosting industry has no such regulatory institution. That is the reason why the web hosting vendors speculate and tell lies blatantly (very directly, in fact) to their customers. Especially the cPanel-based cloud hosting providers. Let's see how much cloud hosting they in fact can provide.

The facts about the cPanel-based "cloud" hosting suppliers

If a cPanel-based web hosting corporation has a cloud web hosting platform at hand, which is very unlikely, many servers must be paid for. Which is also not cheap. We will get back to that at the end of this article. First off, let's see what the cloud predicaments are. So, it's very improbable for a cPanel hosting distributor to have the cloud web hosting system at hand, because making one requires years. Even when time and the provision of a proficient team are not a predicament, loads of cash must be spent too. Piles of cash. In addition, cPanel is not open source. That's an enormous downside.

The absence of open source cloud web hosting environments

There are no open source cloud web hosting environments. There are no open source website hosting CP devices (operating with the cloud web hosting platform) either. Hence, to have a cloud web hosting solution at hand, in the first place you must build one. In-house. Second of all, you have to create the website hosting CP too.

One server-based web hosting Control Panels

Today's popular website hosting Control Panels like cPanel, Plesk, DirectAdmin, etc. are set up to run on one single server exclusively. All web hosting services (web space, mail, FTP, databases, DNS, statistics, web hosting CP, backup, etc.) are being served simultaneously on one single web server where these given single-server web hosting systems and hosting Control Panels are set up.

The absence of open source CPs

So, you have to build a custom website hosting CP that will operate faultlessly and to add it within the cloud platform, as if it was a natural component of it. Proper examples of custom constructed cloud web hosting systems with in-house developed web hosting Control Panels besides us, at Logic Empower, are MediaTemple and FreeHostia.

Cloud web hosting hardware provision charges

The smallest investment demanded, just for the cloud web hosting hardware equipment, equals somewhere between 60,000 dollars and $80,000 USD. That's omitting the DDoS apparatus, which is another fifteen-twenty thousand dollars. Now you are well aware of how many cloud web hosting solutions can be discovered out there... and, above all, why the web hosting sky is so blue... and practically cloudless!
