If you’d like to transfer a domain name from one company to another, you will need a special domain authorization code, which may be called by different names – an EPP authentication code, an AuthInfo code, a domain name password, etc. All these names refer to the same thing – a code that the domain name owner gets from the present registrar and gives to the new one during the order process. Without a valid code, a transfer procedure cannot be started and this is one of the protection mechanisms against unsanctioned transfers used with all generic and with most country-specific extensions. For better safety, the code comprises of numbers and/or special symbols and is case-sensitive, so if you wish to transfer one of your domains, you have to supply the new registrar with the correct code.

EPP Transfer Protection in Cloud Hosting

You can obtain the EPP transfer code for any domain that you’ve registered with our company with just a couple of clicks from the very same Hepsia Control Panel that you will use to manage your cloud hosting account. As soon as you visit the Registered Domains section, you will see all your domains neatly listed in alphabetical order. If a particular extension supports transfers between domain registrars with an EPP code, you’ll notice an EPP button next to the given domain. If you click that button, the code will be emailed to the email address associated with the Registrant contact for the domain name in question. If you want, you can modify the contact details, including the email, without needing to leave this Control Panel section, in case the current email isn’t valid anymore.

EPP Transfer Protection in Semi-dedicated Servers

If you would like to transfer any domain name that is registered under a semi-dedicated server account away from us, you can obtain its EPP transfer authorization code with several mouse clicks from the Hepsia Control Panel. All registered domains are shown in an independent Control Panel section. Quick-access buttons will permit you to use separate features. To obtain the transfer code, you only have to click the EPP sign, which will be on the right-hand side of any domain name whose TLD extension supports transfers with an authorization code. Our system will email the code to the domain owner’s email address, which is currently listed in the domain name’s WHOIS record. If you want, you can edit this email address from the very same section of the Control Panel before requesting the transfer code. The change will propagate instantly, so you will not need to wait for the new email address to show up on WHOIS lookup websites.
