AAAA Records in Cloud Hosting
If you use a service through a third-party company and you need to create an AAAA record to direct a domain address or a subdomain to their system, you will be able to do that with a few clicks in the Hepsia Control Panel, included with all our cloud hosting plans. Once you sign in, you have to proceed to the DNS Records section in which you are going to find all the records for any domain address or subdomain hosted inside the account. Setting up a new record is as simple as clicking on a button, choosing the type from a drop-down options menu, which will be AAAA in this case, and then inserting the value, or the actual IPv6 address, in a text box. As an additional option you could edit the TTL value (Time To Live), that specifies how long the record is going to be active after you change it or delete it in the future. The new AAAA record will be operating in only an hour and will propagate worldwide an hour or two later, so the hostname for which you have created it will start directing to the new hosting server.
AAAA Records in Semi-dedicated Servers
In case you have a semi-dedicated server account from our company and you have to set up an AAAA record for a domain name you have hosted in it or a subdomain you have set up, it is going to take you only a few clicks in the Hepsia CP to accomplish this. Even when you have never had a hosting account before, you won't experience any problems since you will use a very simple and user-friendly interface. All the DNS records for your domain addresses are going to be listed in a section of the CP with the exact same name, so as soon as you go there, you will see all records which have been created automatically or manually and you're going to be able to create a new one by simply clicking the corresponding button. A compact pop-up will appear, so with just a few clicks you can choose the type of record you require and for which domain name or subdomain it's going to be set up. After that, simply paste the IPv6 address within a text box, save the change and one hour later the new AAAA record is going to be fully active. As an optional setting, you can pick the length of time this record will be functioning after you change it or erase it in the future. This is actually the so-called TTL, or Time To Live value of the record, which you can change from the standard 3600 seconds when the other service provider requires it.
